Born in Jalisco, Mexico and landed in Napa, California at 2 years old, Humberto has always been the epitome of hard work and dedication. At 27 years old, he embarked on his academic journey to become a civil engineer. He graduated with honors from Napa Valley College and was accepted into the transfer program for UC Berkeley, which has a 19% acceptance rate. There he completed his Bachelor’s in Civil and Environmental Engineering and went on to pursue his masters at UC Berkeley as well. Given his great standing, he was awarded full financial support from the university, and was the first to do so in the transfer program. He is now in his final semester and has already accepted full-time employment with XL construction and will remain in the Bay area as a project engineer.
