Rosa Del Duca, author of Breaking Cadence: One Woman's War Against the War, will talk about how she joined the military in 2000 as a low-income seventeen-year-old high school student after being misled by a recruiter at her school, and about her subsequent experiences in the military and how she eventually became a Conscientious Objector. This talk represents a unique opportunity for students to not only meet the author of a compelling new book, but also to think through some of the issues and questions they should consider when military recruiters approach them on campus.
